More about the theme . . .

Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care. In the last years massage during pregnancy has gained a lot in popularity. Recently research and evidence have shown a scientific basis for its benefits.

Massages during pregnancy have often received ambivalent responses from the health community regarding their safety and purpose. Modern investigation and research has shown that prenatal massage therapy can be an instrumental ingredient in women’s prenatal care and should be given careful consideration.

The most popular form of this special treatment uses the principles based on Swedish massage techniques. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and swelling.

Massage helps to stimulate soft tissues to reduce collection of fluids in swollen joints. This also improves the removal of tissue waste carried by the body’s lymph system.

During the session you’ll lie on your side and back. A trained prenatal massage therapist knows where a pregnant woman’s sore spots are likely to be and may be able to provide some relief. Of course the therapist will also know which areas and techniques to avoid.

Please note that women in high-risk pregnancies should consult their doctor or midwife before beginning of our massage treatment. If you experience discomfort at any time during the pregnancy massage, tell your therapist immediately.

First and last massage can be a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness during your pregnancy.

For sure massage may have many benefits for you and your baby. Feel the tranquil relaxation and release stress…
